The Tokai Arboretum is found on the slopes of Constantiaberg, near the Silvermine Nature Reserve in Cape Town's southern suburbs. Ideal for walking and biking, this forested area is home to hundreds of species of trees.
This is a peaceful setting for walking and cycling, and can also serve as the starting point for a 6km trail hike to up Elephant's Eye Cave and back. There is also a tea room serving refreshments.

The original Tokai Homestead still exists and is famous for the legend of the Tokai Manor Ghost. It is said that the ghost of a young man and his horse can be seen on certain nights. The farm remained in the hands of the Eksteen family for over 80 years and was sold to the Government in 1883.
