The District 6 Museum is a museum remembering the forceful displacement of the residents of District 6, a multi-cultural and vibrant community, during the apartheid rule.
Visitors can get a guided tour by a former resident to learn more about the community and the plight and displacement of the 60.000 people who lost their home and community when the area was designated a white area and residents were forcibly displaced. It also serves as a meeting space for former District 6 residents.
