Better Living Challenge was showcased at the Design Indaba Expo 2015 as part of the Western Cape Government’s design strategy implemented by the Cape Craft and Design Institute (CCDI).

Better Living Challenge announced the 3 winners of the competition on Tuesday 25 November 2014, who will each now receive R500 000’s worth of customised support to help them take their solutions to the next level. Better Living Challenge will guide this process to ensure that the winners receive maximum value from the award.

Following a two week public exhibition and a strict voting process, The Better Living Challenge - a design competition showcasing green and affordable solutions to improve the homes of people living in low-income communities - has announced its winners.
The Better Living Challenge showcase event comprising of life-size home structures, interactive displays and a programme of lunch-time talks will take place this October and November at the Cape Town station forecourt.
