Prime Trees is celebrating Arbor Month with the launch of their new wholesale tree and plant nursery nestled amidst the picturesque mountains of the Paarl region.

Prime Trees, founded in 2014 by the passionate horticulturist, Bruce Stewart, who knows the importance of what it takes to grow quality trees.

With nearly 25 years of experience, Bruce’s attention to detail, skills and passion for the industry is unsurpassed. The large scale tree nursery comprises over 30 hectares of the highest quality shade and ornamental trees and container stock, including wholesale shrubs, perennials and fruit trees.

Bruce Stewart, enthused, "Prime Trees is a dream come true for me. We invite everyone to come and visit us on the farm for a tour of our wide range of trees."

Furthermore, Prime Trees is one of only a few who make use of the latest root technology called Rootmakers, designed to create fibrous, non-circling root systems to equip plants for transplanting success.

Expanding rapidly to become a leading producer of wholesale stock, Prime Trees has over 100 000 mature trees in stock at any given point in time.
The nursery supplies high quality trees and shrubs to landscape architects, property developers, schools, municipalities, as well as contractors.

'We grow trees for horticulturists, by horticulturists!’, added Bruce.

MORE ABOUT ARBOR MONTH

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) is spearheading the national campaign for Arbor Week/Month, it focuses on “some of the oldest, largest and culturally significant trees” including the Sophia Town Oak Tree and the Sagole Baobab Tree in Limpopo, which are part of our natural heritage. Arbor Month affords the public the opportunity to be involved in "greening" their communities by planting indigenous trees and creating and encouraging environmentally-friendly human settlements.
